Do the treatment in the bathroom
We recommend that you do the treatment in the bathroom. And make sure to stay with your child! You don't want him or her running through the house with a liter of oil on his or her head :-)
Washing the hair
DO NOT wet the hair before you rinse it with shampoo. Put the shampoo directly onto the oil-covered hair and rinse thoroughly. This will make it easier to wash out the oil.
Cleaning The LiceHat
First you need to rub the dripping hat with detergent (or shampoo) and then rinse it off with warm (not too hot!) water. Repeat this 2 or 3 times when necessary, until all the oil has been washed off. Dry the hat with a tea towel or paper towels. You can also use a hairdryer... this will dry the hat even quicker. After this, you apply a good amount of talcum powder to the inside and outside of the hat. Store the hat in the plastic bag from the package and add the small bag with silicone grains because it takes out all the moisture. Please Note! If you don't store the LiceHat correctly, the quality will really deteriorate quickly. It will also get sticky and shrink. And that would be a pity and a waste!
Don't pour oil down the sink
Please don't pour the oil that remains in the tub down the sink because it can clog your drain.
How to make sure that the oil covers all the hair
By carefully moving the head from front to back and from left to right, the oil will cover all the hair. It can feel a bit funny at first but not for long! Repeat this after 5 minutes if you don't want to take any changes.
Put the headband on the rim of the hat to make sure that not a drop of oil leaks out across the face or neck.
